DEVIN McKINNEY • This comes by way of Tom Sutpen’s If Charlie Parker Was a Gunslinger, There’d Be a Whole Lot of Dead Copycats, which I’ve more than once called “the best blogsite there’s ever been, ever.” It appears under the heading “When Legends Gather.”
(For the irredeemably trivia-minded, I’m pretty sure that’s Jerry Paris with half of his face cut off at the right side. He was Rob and Laura’s neighbor on The Dick Van Dyke Show, plus he directed 200 eps of Happy Days.)
Ya beat me to it, ya rascal–I saw that yesterday on Facebook–Andre Gardner’s Breakfast with the Beatles feed. It was funny watching all the people say, “Is that Sean?” or confidently declare it Photoshop.
Tom Sutpen’s blog is excellent, people. I heartily second Devin.
Worlds Colliding! Worlds Colliding!
John looks like the love child of Michael Caine and Harry Nilsson.
The producers and writers of “Happy Days” really blew a golden opportunity when they failed to get John to do a cameo appearance on the show.
Just “imagine” what John could have done in some Quarryman-style wardrobe and sideboards!
